Sekino is one of the greats of Japanese printmaking. He is known for the diversity of styles and genres but particularly for the warmth and humanity which he could bring to his portrait images.

Alongside this his wonderful sense of design is bringing him renewed acclaim with a recent retrospective exhibition "Behind paper Walls", earlier this January, 2011 in Chicago at the Floating World Gallery which was extended by two weeks because of popular demand.
He is represented in all the major galleries.
