Portion work no. 8 is the last of Hamanishi's portion works.

These works are purely abstract and look forward to his 'Haze' series where he plays around with subtle shifts in extremely dark tones.
Here he continues to explore his fascination with the use of different foils - this is a very unusual image in Hamanishi's oeuvre.
