This etching is one from the series Tales of the Avians produced by Basil Hall Editions in 2007.
Since arriving in Darwin in 1997, Monique Auricchio has worked as a printer and later workshop manager at Northern Editions at Charles Darwin University, In 2003 she began developing her career as a practising artist /printmaker and since then has achieved some considerable success. In 2006 she won the Jacques Cadry Memorial Art Prize and was selected for the TogArt Contemporary Art Award in Darwin. She has also shown in 15 exhibitions nationally since 2003.
